Responsible engineering since 1945

Søren Jensen Engineering is a family-owned consulting engineering firm with roots going back to 1945 and offices in Aarhus and Copenhagen.

The company is run today with long-term ownership and a clear ambition: to deliver engineering consulting that shapes the framework, creates lasting solutions, and communicates complex knowledge so it can be applied in practice.

We work across all central engineering disciplines and follow projects from the early ideas and strategic choices to design, construction, and operations.

Our consulting is characterised by professional thoroughness, strong documentation, and practical feasibility, as well as a clear understanding of the client's business, risks, and decision space.

The goal is construction that creates real value for clients, society, and the planet. Our approach is built on a holistic view in which business, society, and planetary health are connected.

Historically, people have worked with separate spheres, where a company had nothing to do with the planet or society.
Over time, people have begun to work with the spheres more in interplay – but we operate from an even deeper holistic view, where business, society, and the planet form a whole.

It is therefore essential to us to be in interaction with, to support, and to strengthen the health of society and the planet.

The ambition is not only to reduce negative footprints, but to create positive impact through responsible choices, robust solutions, and a high professional standard

Our approach is based on a holistic perspective, where business interacts with - and must help strengthen - society and planetary health.

Core values that can be felt

Since Søren Jensen founded the company, the core values have been Collaboration, Competence, and Responsibility.

These are not abstract concepts but points of reference for how we organise our work, collaborate with clients, and make decisions in projects.

We believe that the best solutions arise through close collaboration, where expertise is shared openly and responsibility is taken consistently.

We work actively to shape, create, and communicate the next generation of buildings, methods, and consulting.

This takes place on an evidence-based foundation and with respect for the environmental and social frameworks within which we operate.

For clients, this means consulting that is thoroughly developed, realistic, and trustworthy – even when decisions are complex and consequences are long-term.

Interdisciplinary organisation

Søren Jensen Engineering is organised in interdisciplinary units that bring together the competencies a project specifically requires.

The organisation is built on clarity of roles, responsibilities, and deliverables, and is designed to strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing across disciplines.

This structure enables us to handle complex projects with many interfaces, high documentation requirements, and tight constraints on time and budget.

At the same time, it creates continuity and robustness in deliverables – also on long projects and in projects where staffing and needs evolve along the way.

Award-winning engineering

Our focus on expertise, innovation, and thoroughly developed solutions has over the years resulted in a number of recognitions and awards, including Det Bæredygtige Element, Årets Byggeri, Årets Skolebyggeri, Dansk Stålpris, IStructE Structural Awards, FIDIC Award of Merit, Circular Construction Challenge, and Energiforums Innovationspris.

While the awards look good on the shelf, we are most proud of what they represent: that we succeed in creating solutions that make a difference for people and the environment.

Our Code of conduct: Decency, Integrity, and Responsibility

Accountability is a fundamental prerequisite for our consulting and for the way we run our business. Our Code of Conduct sets out the principles and frameworks that govern behaviour and decisions – internally, in projects, and in collaboration with clients, authorities, and partners.
The Code of Conduct supports high professional quality, transparency, and trust, and functions as an active governance tool in day-to-day operations. It sets clear expectations for how we collaborate and how we handle responsibility in complex projects.

Business ethics and professional conduct
We operate according to high standards of business ethics and integrity. Our consulting is independent and objective, and decisions are made on a documented, professional basis. We have clear guidelines for conflicts of interest and the handling of gifts, so the collaboration is always experienced as credible and professional.
For clients and partners, this means a collaborator who has its processes in order, takes responsibility for its actions, and works systematically with quality, risks, and decency.

Working environment and responsibility towards people
A healthy and safe working environment is a prerequisite for quality in our consulting. The Code of Conduct sets out requirements for respectful behaviour, wellbeing, and collaboration, and supports a culture characterised by expertise and mutual trust. In projects, we actively contribute to safe and proper working conditions through responsible design, inspection, and dialogue on site.

Environmental responsibility and social consideration
The aim is to establish a robust network infrastructure that matches the data centre’s tier level and supports both current and future needs.
This means that sustainability and environmental considerations are a natural part of our consulting and decisions – not as a separate element, but as an integrated part of the professional assessment.
